The University of Southern California is a private, nonsectarian research university
located in the heart of Los Angeles' University Park neighborhood. The University
Park campus (which houses over 20,000 square feet of flexible function space for
events) is in the West Adams district of south Los Angeles, two miles southwest
of Downtown Los Angeles. The campus’ boundaries are Jefferson Boulevard to the north
and northeast, Figueroa Street on the southeast, Exposition Boulevard on the south
and Vermont Avenue on the west. The University Park campus is within walking distance
to Los Angeles landmarks such as the Shrine Auditorium and the Los Angeles Coliseum.
